For Immediate release Contact Eddie Sachs Jan 21,2006 Metro Detroit’s only weekly racing radio show "MOTOR CITY MOTOR SPORTS" has its wheels turning again. Tonight has been chosen for the official announcement’s and title of ownership transfers for Motor City Motor Sports Radio show and TV program. (being announced at the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club banquet, Clinton Twp., MI) Between former Host and Producer Vito Lopiccolo to your new Host Eddie Sachs Jr. Vito has long lived Motor City Motor Sports keeping it on the air for 26 years, making it the longest running Racing Radio show in the Metro Detroit area. Vito is also a original founder of the Michigan Auto Racing Club. Hence why we chose tonight to release the news, as Vito wanted the club to be the first to know. "I may be retired from all this activity, but you will still see me at the races" stated Vito. "I will also be guiding Eddie as he takes over the show for me this year." Last year at this same banquet (MARFC), Vito and I discussed his retirement from Motor City Motor Sports, and if I knew any one interested in buying the program. Well, I gave it some thought and in May at the National fan club meeting in Indianapolis we struck and closed a deal that would keep Motor City Motor Sports alive. Detroit and its surrounding areas needs Motorsports coverage badly, on a weekly level following all forms of racing. Eddie wants to reinstate coverage through Motor City Motor Sports. "Vito has built a great program, and all we can do is make it better" stated Sachs. The format will be a one hour show covering local, national and international racing of all types, such as Stock cars, Indy cars, Boats, Dragsters, etc. Along with track side interviews and on air guest live, We will report the latest news, and up-coming events and harpings in the motorsports world. All in all we will follow a weekly format that should keep you up to date with what’s going on. I think everyone will enjoy the new program. As sponsors are being solicited for Motor City Motor Sports, I’m sure you realize how tough it is to raise money, especially with today’s economy. I cant promise you will gain 10 fold back to your business, but if you can advertise, you will be supporting a Detroit legend that has been in existence for years. If you have a interest in being a patron sponsor, please contact me for details. Patron sponsors names will be mentioned on our weekly show. Motor City Motor Sports will be on the air starting April 15, 6pm-7pm on AM 1500 and AM 600. Member Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association & American Auto Racing Writers, Broadcasters Association |
